Our Identity

Jesus Christ Reformation Ministration and Theological Seminary (JCRMTS) is a faith-based ministry and theological seminary dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping believers for ministry, and fostering spiritual growth across communities in South Africa and beyond. We combine biblical teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, and community outreach to transform lives and strengthen the Church.

Our vision is to see lives transformed through the power of the Gospel. We desire to impact individuals and communities by living out the values of the Kingdom of God, empowering believers to walk in their purpose, and equipping them for service. We aim to build a legacy of faith that glorifies God, helping people to grow in their relationship with Him and serve His kingdom effectively.

Mission

The mission of JCR Ministration and Theological Seminary NPC is to be Christ-centered and Bible-based. We are committed to making disciples for Christ through the teaching of God's Word, reaching up, reaching out, and reaching in. Our goal is to see those far from God raised to life in Christ, while expanding the Kingdom of God through the Holy Spirit. We aim to see people saved, healed, set free, discipled, equipped, empowered, and serving in anticipation of Christ’s second coming, all while exemplifying godliness and maintaining a positive presence in our community.

OUR HISTORY

esus Christ Reformation Ministration and Theological Seminary (JCRMTS) was founded out of a deep calling to equip believers with sound biblical teaching, to strengthen the Children of God, and to bring the life?changing message of Jesus Christ to communities both near and far.

Origins and Founding Vision

JCRMTS was established in 2015 by Professor Aubrey Burger, whose passion for theological education and discipleship grew out of many years of pastoral ministry, teaching, and community engagement. Professor Burger recognized a growing need for accessible, Christ?centred theological training that would empower ordinary believers, denomination leaders, and ministry workers with knowledge, spiritual maturity, and practical ministry skills.

With a heart for both academic excellence and pastoral care, Professor Burger envisioned a seminary that would not only teach doctrine but also nurture men and women who would live out their faith with boldness, compassion, and wisdom. This vision became the foundation of JCRMTS: a Ministration committed to truth, transformation, and the impact into the kingdom of God as per Scripture 1 Peter 4:11 - If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. Early Development and Growth

From its earliest days, JCRMTS began as a small but vibrant community of learners and Spiritual Leaders who were passionate about deepening their understanding of Scripture and strengthening their walk with Christ. The seminary’s initial programs focused on foundational theology, pastoral ministry, discipleship training and counselling, with an emphasis on practical application in everyday life and church contexts.

Under Professor Burger’s leadership, JCRMTS quickly gained recognition for its commitment to:

• Biblical theological depth
• Christ?centred ministry training
• Spirit?led pastoral care
• Community outreach and servant leadership
• Counselling based on and supported by the Word of God

As interest grew, the seminary expanded its offerings, developing structured courses, faith-based workshops, and mentorship pathways that equipped students for both local and broader Evangelism engagement.

Partnerships and Broader Impact

From the outset, JCRMTS has pursued strategic partnerships with like?minded faith-based organisations, leaders, and educational bodies. These collaborations have strengthened the seminary’s academic credibility, widened its reach, and enhanced its ability to serve diverse communities.

Under Professor Burger’s guidance, JCRMTS also became actively involved in:

• Chaplaincy SA, where leaders from the seminary serve as chaplains and branch and area commanders.
• Community outreach initiatives, including pastoral care in care homes, neighbourhood engagement, and public evangelism events.
• Christian media and broadcasting, through platforms like JIL Radio, Joy Radio and JCRMTS Radio to carry uplifting and biblically sound teaching to a global audience.

Today and Beyond

Today, JCRMTS continues to grow as a recognised centre of theological education, faith-based training, and Gospel outreach. With multiple branch offices serving communities across South Africa — each led by capable pastors and leaders — the seminary stands as a testament to the vision that God placed in Professor Aubrey Burger’s heart.

At its core, JCRMTS remains committed to:
