About The Firm 

Petro Lessing Attorneys & Conveyancers is situated in Rooiels, a settlement in the Overberg District Municipality in the Western Cape province. We opened our doors for business on January 17, 2014, with Petro Lessing as the practising attorney at the firm.

On December 17, 1997, Petro Herbst Duggan Attorney Firm started its practice in Kempton Park but closed its doors on January 16, 2014, while Petro Lessing Attorneys & Conveyancers was established the same year.

In previous years, Petro Lessing practised at well-known attorney firms in Kempton Park, varying between 1991 and 1997. She was admitted as an attorney by the Supreme Court & Conveyancer Transvaal Provincial Division on January 28, 1992. After that, Petro completed a two-year articles/clerkship at Schumann van den Heever & Slabbert, a reputable attorney firm in Kempton Park between 1989 and 1991.

Petro Lessing's additional qualifications include a Technikon RSA National Diploma in Registration of Deeds, which she had obtained on July 1, 1990. Her first employment, after her formal studies, was at the Deeds Office in Pretoria from January 1, 1988, to November 30, 1989. She then studied at University of Pretoria from January 1, 1983, to December 31, 1987, and obtained the following degrees: 

  • Baccalaureus Legum (LLB) on 29/03/1988,
  • Baccalaureus Commercial Law on 07/04/1986

Petro Lessing Attorneys & Conveyancers attends to immovable property related matters, drafting of agreements of sale and registration of property transfers. We deliver personal and professional service, with numerous satisfied and loyal clients who never looks back.

In addition to conventional and sectional transfers and private bond registrations, the firm also attends to the listing of subdivisions, consolidations and endorsement of deeds for various purposes, such as estate matters, amendments to deeds, releases and cancellations of private bonds, cancellation of title conditions, acquiring various consents for different purposes, general property-related advice, and the drafting of property-related agreements.

E4 Legal Studio conveyancing software is currently being used for document generation. We also make use of SearchWorks to link to the Deeds Registries for deed searches directly and obtaining copies of registered documents. Furthermore, is the firm connected to CIPC Companies Registry which gives access to its recorded information.
